Zoe and I went camping in Algonquin Park in July 2025
We woke up the next morning and had breakfast and then set off in our canoe to High Falls. Arriving at a landing area of sorts, we tied up the boat and took our water bottles and towels to hiked to one of the lower pools below the rock slide. We watched others brave the rock slide while me cooled off in the pool. The water was quite high for this time of year. Zoe wanted to try out the slide but i was worried because of that. But everyone else was happily doing it.
we stayed at High Falls for an hour or so then slowly made our way back to our campsite. I know we had time for a boardgame of minecraft, and mostlikely i had brought a lego set for Zoe to build while on the trip. I did collect fire wood, but the weather wasn't that great (wet), so we never had a fire.
Zoe spend a lot of time along the shoreline of our campsite looking for frogs. She found a bunch but didn't have a great deal of luck catching any. She swam alot in our area, and i joined her for some of it. The water was nice, but the lake bottom was full of rocks, logs and other debris so i wasn't the easiest to get into of out of.
I explored the campsite on the peninsula with Zoe in the evening in our canoe. We didn't go on shore as people were there. It did look like a nice spot. During the day earlier a outboard powered canoe with a couple of park rangers went by on a patrol i guess. Other than this it was a quiet trip
